To provide educational programming, applied research, demonstration work and other efforts aimed at identifying and managing diseases of field crops in Missouri.


RESEARCH

I am the plant pathologist on the Crop Focus Team of the newly established Commercial Agriculture Program. This is an interdiscplinary team that works with crop producers and the agricultural businesses that support these producers. The goal of the team is to enhance the performance of these groups in terms of efficiency, competitiveness, profitability, and environmental awareness.  The Focus Team currently is evaluating crop-farming operations and focusing on decision-making for specific crop-production practices. The team is also developing a crop production systems manual for Missouri.
